I'm Siobhan Heraty, a contemporary painter, based in Dublin, Ireland.
Inspired by the constant, yet ever-changing drama of nature, I create abstract and impressionist paintings which evoke a sense of space and freedom. Sea and sky are always an inspiration, whether calm and clear or wild and moody - gazing on either feeds the soul in some way, providing respite from this hectic world of ours and a place for the heart and mind to rest and wander awhile. Working intuitively, building texture and layering colour with acrylics, I aim to replicate this sense of space and possibility in my paintings.
I work from my studio in the iconic Grainstore building in Cabinteely Park, Co. Dublin. The studios and attached gallery are run by MART Studios in partnership with the Arts Office of Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown Council.
