Siobhan Heraty is an Irish contemporary artist creating atmospheric abstract landscapes inspired by the sea, mountains and changing light of the Irish landscape.

Working intuitively in layers of acrylic and mixed media, Siobhan’s paintings explore light, atmosphere and emotional resonance. Inspired by the sea, mountains and shifting skies of the Irish landscape, the work hovers between seascape, landscape and memory, remaining intentionally open in its interpretation.

Rather than depicting a specific place, the paintings aim to capture a feeling — moments of weather, solitude, connection and reflection. Shapes emerge and dissolve, horizons shift, and meaning is left deliberately unresolved, inviting viewers to bring their own experiences and associations to the work.

Often described as calming and immersive, the paintings are designed to live quietly but powerfully within a space, creating moments of pause and reconnection amid the pace of everyday life.

Originally from Co. Wicklow and now based in Dublin, Siobhan works from her studio at the Grainstore in Cabinteely Park. The studios and attached gallery are run by MART Studios in partnership with the Arts Office of Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown Council.

Siobhan’s work hangs in private and corporate collections and has been exhibited at art fairs and group exhibitions.
