Siobhan Heraty is an Irish contemporary artist creating atmospheric abstract landscapes that explore the relationship between place, memory and emotion.
Working intuitively in layers of acrylic and mixed media, her paintings are influenced by the sea, mountains, shifting skies and changing light of the Irish landscape. Hovering between abstraction, seascape and landscape, the work remains intentionally open to interpretation.
Rather than depicting a specific place, Siobhan seeks to capture a feeling — moments of weather, solitude, connection and reflection. Shapes emerge and dissolve, horizons shift, and the imagery remains deliberately open, inviting viewers to bring their own experiences and associations to the work.
Often described as calming and immersive, the paintings are intended to live quietly but powerfully within a space, creating moments of pause and reconnection amid the pace of everyday life.
Originally from Co. Wicklow and now based in Dublin, Siobhan works from her studio at the Grainstore in Cabinteely Park, part of MART Studios in partnership with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Arts Office.
Siobhan is represented by the Greenlane Gallery in Dingle, Co. Kerry. Her work is held in private and corporate collections and has been exhibited at art fairs and group exhibitions.
